Each morning when I wake
I turn to the Lord in prayer
I thank Him for keeping me
In His constant care
I ask Him to bless my loved ones
I pray for humanity this world over
And human needs
He said that He would hear me
When to Him I plead
May the love of God surround you
Feel His presence there
Know that you have been included
In my daily prayer

Quiet Time
I need some quiet time with God
To help me through the day
A little time to read His word
And a little time to pray
From this I gain the strength I need
To carry me along
It lifts me up on wings of joy
And gives my heart a song
To help me through the day
A little time to read His word
And a little time to pray
From this I gain the strength I need
To carry me along
It lifts me up on wings of joy
And gives my heart a song

Blessings To Share
A loving smile
A tender touch
These mean so much
A helping hand
In time of need
Encouragement
For each good deed
A chance to play
When work is done
To savor life
And well-earned fun
With blessings such
As these to share
We turn to God
In thankful prayer
These mean so much
A helping hand
In time of need
Encouragement
For each good deed
A chance to play
When work is done
To savor life
And well-earned fun
With blessings such
As these to share
We turn to God
In thankful prayer
Threads of Woven Pleasures
Memories are precious treasures
God has willed to you and me
To endure old age and sufferings
With the joys that used to be.
They are never worn or faded
By the trials and tears of time
For they're threads of woven pleasures
In the heart of yours and mine
And for memories of heartache
That we made and left behind
That are painful to remember
Very tearful and unkind
He endears us with the mercy
And the grace in common prayer
That forgives us for transgressions
And denies us their despair
God has willed to you and me
To endure old age and sufferings
With the joys that used to be.
They are never worn or faded
By the trials and tears of time
For they're threads of woven pleasures
In the heart of yours and mine
And for memories of heartache
That we made and left behind
That are painful to remember
Very tearful and unkind
He endears us with the mercy
And the grace in common prayer
That forgives us for transgressions
And denies us their despair
Make A Difference
You can make a difference each day that you live
When you walk the road with Jesus
And of your own give words of encouragement
And deeds that can assist
You give birth to little treasures
That a sad heart can not resist
You'll help make life worth living
For a humble and tired soul
Who'll love you for your kindness
And your sweet unselfish role
When you walk the road with Jesus
And of your own give words of encouragement
And deeds that can assist
You give birth to little treasures
That a sad heart can not resist
You'll help make life worth living
For a humble and tired soul
Who'll love you for your kindness
And your sweet unselfish role
This Too Shall Pass
When your burdens are many
And your heart is heavy
And you doubt your strength can last
Often times we are troubled
With trials and sorrows
That seem to come all too fast
When doubts and worries plague
Your soul and your problems
Are all to vast
When your faith is tested
And pain is so great
And depression you can't seem to cast
Reach up and hold tight
To the Giver of life
And know all this will pass
And your heart is heavy
And you doubt your strength can last
Often times we are troubled
With trials and sorrows
That seem to come all too fast
When doubts and worries plague
Your soul and your problems
Are all to vast
When your faith is tested
And pain is so great
And depression you can't seem to cast
Reach up and hold tight
To the Giver of life
And know all this will pass

Awesome Memories
I must hold onto the good memories
And let them linger long in my mind
All the good friends and all the good times
I will treasure forever
When life gets you down
With its troubles and cares
And you're tossed by the waves
And the winds of the air
You need only to look
At the places you've been
The storms and the trials
And days with no end
For each will remind you
How you made it through
And each will bring hope
For God's care is always
Not just now and then
Each yesterday and tomorrow
Each and every day my friends
Memories to treasure
Forever
Reach Out
In everyone's life there comes a time
when our faith is put to the test
and we fear that we're losing touch with God
Though we're doing our very best,
it may seem that the world is against us
and there's no one around to care.
But if we just reach out,
we'll find that God is always there.
If we let Him know we need him
and our faith is very strong,
He'll wipe away the cares of the day
and fill our heart with song.
For He is the light in the darkness,
our pillar to lean on.
He gives us strength and courage to carry on.
when our faith is put to the test
and we fear that we're losing touch with God
Though we're doing our very best,
it may seem that the world is against us
and there's no one around to care.
But if we just reach out,
we'll find that God is always there.
If we let Him know we need him
and our faith is very strong,
He'll wipe away the cares of the day
and fill our heart with song.
For He is the light in the darkness,
our pillar to lean on.
He gives us strength and courage to carry on.

Life's Wonders
I've never touched a rainbow
And yet I see it there
Within the sky so far away
It's colors soft and fair
The wind is quite elusive
And yet I feel a breeze
And watch it touch the treetops
And gently move the leaves
Our God within the heavens
I cannot see His face
And still I feel His presence
And know His saving grace
The wonders of a a rosebud
That opens to the sun
Each miracle of dawning
And stars when day is done
The glowing far off sunset
Untouched by human hands
So much a part of living
A heart still understands
We needn't see our Savior
To feel His loving care
Life's wonders still shall bless us
Each time we kneel in prayer
And yet I see it there
Within the sky so far away
It's colors soft and fair
The wind is quite elusive
And yet I feel a breeze
And watch it touch the treetops
And gently move the leaves
Our God within the heavens
I cannot see His face
And still I feel His presence
And know His saving grace
The wonders of a a rosebud

A heart still understands

To feel His loving care
Life's wonders still shall bless us
Each time we kneel in prayer

The Master Waits
We worry and we're troubled
And strive to run our lives
We're frantic and we're fearful
How I agonize
The sorrow and the misery
I cause myself to bear
When I neglect to go to God
With everything in prayer
He knows my every sorrow
The burdens that I bear
I need only take my problems
And place them in His care
For all my problems
Filled with life's distress
The Master waits to comfort
And give me peace and rest
And strive to run our lives
We're frantic and we're fearful
How I agonize
The sorrow and the misery
I cause myself to bear
When I neglect to go to God
With everything in prayer
He knows my every sorrow
The burdens that I bear
I need only take my problems
And place them in His care
For all my problems
Filled with life's distress
The Master waits to comfort
And give me peace and rest
The Simple Things
I like the simple things of life
A little house - some useful task
And flowers around my door
I do not ask for more
I do not wish for luxuries
But this I hold most dear
A friend who comes to chat
A while and loved ones ever near
The softness of the summer sun
Bright blossoms on a tree
The sound of children's laughter
These things bring joy to me
As youth we ofttimes yearn for
Things their cost beyond our reach
But oh how wisely through the years
The deeper values teach
For happiness cannot be found
Along life's tinseled way
But in the little joys that surround
Our lives each day
A little house - some useful task
And flowers around my door
I do not ask for more
I do not wish for luxuries
But this I hold most dear
A friend who comes to chat
A while and loved ones ever near
The softness of the summer sun
Bright blossoms on a tree
The sound of children's laughter
These things bring joy to me
As youth we ofttimes yearn for
Things their cost beyond our reach
But oh how wisely through the years
The deeper values teach
For happiness cannot be found
Along life's tinseled way
But in the little joys that surround
Our lives each day
